Jordan Andrew is a Vancouver-based music composer and sound designer with a unique background which offers an uncommon skillset in the world of film composition.

Today, Jordan is currently writing additional music on two network TV series underneath Caleb and Brian Chan; CBC’s Allegiance, as well as Fox TV’s Alert. He recently scored a horror film, Lowlifes, that released on Crave/Tubi in the Spring of 2024. His score for Lowlifes earned him a 2024 Canadian Screen Music Award nomination (CASMA) for Best Score for a TV Special.

Jordan started his career as a professional touring DJ/Turntablist and competed at national levels (Canadian Finalist in the Redbull 3style), with headlining shows in NYC, LA, San Diego and various Canadian music festivals. His music was known for Electronic, laced with R&B, Funk, Soul and Jazz. His remixes/originals have summed to over millions of streams, some of which were live recorded mixes he performed. He’s had the pleasure of sharing stages with internationally prominent artists such as Skratch Bastid, Maseo of De La Soul, Krafty Kuts, and The Funk Hunters.

Today, Jordan uses his acute intuition for film scoring that resonate on an emotional level to effectively support each project. It’s through this dedication that Jordan won a 2023 Leo Award for Best Score for a Short Drama. The SOCAN Foundation also awarded him as part of the 2023 Emerging Screen Composers Cohort. He holds 2 previous Leo nominations, as well as 1 Canadian Screen Music Award (CASMA) nomination.

Jordan also holds a diploma from Vancouver Film School’s Sound Design for Visual Media program, where he became certified in Pro Tools and well versed in the world of post production sound. He still keeps a great relationship with his teachers/mentors and occasionally teaches music editing workshops.

A retired skateboarder and an unrealistic golfer who loves a good laugh, he hopes to score a diverse range of projects with a variety of musicians. Jordan is always excited to discuss future collaborations and ideas waiting to be brought to life - any excuse to nerd out!
